Abstract

This research talks about the reasons for naming in Al-Farabi's Diwan Al-Adab dictionary. I followed the descriptive inductive method, so I collected the words. Then I studied these names by mentioning them, then the lexical statement of the reasons for naming each word, then the linguistic rooting of the word lexically, then the Quranic rooting of the word if it exists. The research also relied on the alphabetical order in presenting the words.
